Comprehensive Medical Ophthalmologist for the Tampa Bay area
St. Lukes Cataract and Laser Institute is seeking an exceptional Medical Ophthalmologist to join our practice in Tampa Bay.
You will be joining an established practice with a long-standing reputation for excellence incataract surgeryand eye care. Theeye surgeons and ophthalmologistsat St. Lukes are known for their expertiseand dedication to caregiving. With state-of-the-art equipment and facilities our doctors continue the tradition of innovation and development of new technologies and techniques in ophthalmology that ourfounderDr. James Gillsbeganwhen he first opened the doors in 1968. The practice is still owned by the same family for 58 years. The practice is led today by President & CEO Dr. Pit Gills.
The entire team of medical professionals at St. Lukes is focused on providing exceptional care for our patients whether they are seeing us for a standard eye exam or a complex surgical procedure.
We proudly serve patients at our six locations throughout Tampa Bay. St. Lukes provides careforpatients seeking wellness exams treatment for cataracts diabetic eye diseases retina conditions glaucoma macular degeneration and dry eye. We are seeking a candidate with excellent clinical skills whopossess outstanding interpersonal skills. Comfortable managing a high-volume clinical practice while maintaining exceptional quality of care. There is an established high demand in the community and room for practice growth. The candidate must be able to provide quality patient care and have a high level of experience in patient management.
Successful candidates are:
  • Long-term physician team member for growth and contribution to a culture of collegiality mentoring and excellence in patient care
  • Innovative adaptable respectful with both team and solution-oriented mindset
  • Manage patient volume of 40-50 patients per day (technician staff support (3-4 technicians/scribes based on clinic volume)
  • Board eligible or board certified US based residency required
