Works under minimal DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:GeneralHas intermediate knowledge of all areas of the aircraft and assigned work area. Repair modify replace or otherwise perform routine aircraft maintenance work in specialized area of repair schemes utilizing SRM or Engineering data. Conduct operational effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they job assignments in a timely and interpret manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals service bulletins drawings and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair replacement or for accurately clocking to other duties as following duties will apply based on the area to which the employee is assigned:CompositesRepair replace and rebuild composite partsUtilize OEM and Engineering drawings to modify composite partsAccomplish wet lay-up repairsAccomplish elevated temperature repairsUnderstand quote processKnows all standard chemicals epoxies sealants resins pre-pregs composite repair materials and their associated MSDSSheet MetalRepair replace and rebuild A/C component structuresPossess basic computer skillsRepair & modify flight control surfaces and componentsUtilize special installation tools such as blind rivet guns OEM and Engineering drawings to modify aircraft structureComplete specialized tasks such as flap peening cold working repair parts using special shop tooling such as brakes stretchers AND EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or and/or Power plant License and level of skill customarily acquired after one year as a General Mechanic or three years of related commercial / military aircraft experience; or equivalent combination of education and EFFORT AND DEXTERITY: While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee will also be required to stand; walk; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to handle and climb ladders and aircraft base pay range for this position is $23.50 $37.00 hourly not including bonuses or benefits. Your pay will be based on your experience skills and education as well as internal equity to ensure fairness across the team. Candidates closer to the lower end of the range are typically building their expertise while those at the higher end bring significant experience and specialized knowledge.
