We are looking for:

  • An Applications EngTechnician for Composite Materials to support the Customer Engineering team in advancing new material and manufacturing technologies for Aerospace and Defense customers. This position focuses on translating customer challenges into technical solutions collaborating closely with both customers and internal experts to develop tailored innovations.

We count on you for:

  • Execute plans for development and qualification of new composite materials and manufacturing technologies aligned to the market and customer needs

  • Support development activities forinnovationopportunities coupling material process and part design

  • Perform characterization and producibility studies of new composite material and process development

  • Management multiple routine and non-routine tasks implementingappropriate timemanagement skills.

  • Communicate with internal and external customers on execution and progress of qualification test plans on composite adhesives primers and coatings

  • Provideexpertisein support of troubleshooting material behavior

  • Operate andmaintainlab equipmentrequiredto execute job function

  • Support production testing asrequired.

  • Champion follow and promote all safety procedures withinSyensqoand collaborating sites. Champions safety actions of others.

  • Work collaboratively at all timesto support all functions customers and suppliers

You will bring:

  • Associates degree in a relevant discipline. Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years ofdemonstratedexperience on composite materials and processing technologies

  • Experience in composite technologies: hand layup composite laminate manufacturing adhesive bonding prepreg out-of-autoclave manufacturing resin infusion thermoplastics amongst other composite manufacturing technologies.

  • Understanding of lab procedures presented in Customer specifications technicaljournalsand textbooks. Can adapt andmodifyprocedures to meet project requirements.

  • Competitive salary and benefits package. ) The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $60000.00 to $79000.00 per year.

  • Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each compensation for this role also includesbonusand/or other incentives.
