Overview
UnityPoint Health is seeking a Compliance Analystto join our team! This role supports the UPHCompliance Programwithdata analytics database management auditingand investigations. Applicants can expect to review documentation to ensure policies procedures and standards are being correctly followed.
Hours: Monday-Friday standard business hours - on call rotation for nights weekends and holidays
Location: Remote - applicantsmustreside within the UnityPoint Health footprint of Iowa Illinois or Wisconsin

Responsibilities
Data Analytics:
- Coordinates data collection from multiple sources and systems to audit and monitor compliance with a wide variety of state and federal regulations and applicable policies.
- Performs data analysis summaries tracking and trending reports for communication with staff leadershipcommitteesand others.
- Act as a resource in statistical application and capture of data that is valid reliable and quantifiable.
- Appropriately utilize random sampling and data collection methodologies.
- Auditand analyze data from the organizations electronic health record and billing systemwhen appropriate.
- At direction of manager support the Compliance Program in developing and reporting compliance metrics for system-wide benefit.
- Acts as a subject matter expert to educate and counsel management team and others on data interpretation and feedback. Guidance from the Compliance Analyst is givenparticular weightand importance.
- Develop and organize special outcome studies analyze the findings and report the results.
- Assist in completing special focused audits and analytic requests designated by management.
- Aid in researching and answering questions related to subject matter being audited.
Compliance Administration:
- Investigates and resolves matters of significance including coordinatingand conductingassessment of internal controls to ensure compliance requirements are met.
- Monitors corrective action plans to ensure resolution is working as intended.
- Intake and triage compliance reported concerns and facilitates hand off to compliance leader(s).
- Assists in privacy and compliance investigations when requested.
- Develops training materials and publications to educate organization stakeholders.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Business or related fields
Experience:
- Two yearshealthcare compliance or privacy experience.
- Prefer two years of experience in compliance auditing monitoring data collection analysistrendingand reporting.
