Key Responsibilities

• Receive extensive training to learn the interesting process to legally establish paternity and child support orders and/or enforce orders by collecting child support and enforcing other provisions within the order.
• Verify and/or correct balances which may be owed determine appropriate legal action including garnishment lien etc.
• Prepare documentation in support of cases presented in court hearings.
• Conduct research to gather evidence analyze facts and apply knowledge of the Office of Recovery Services rules regulations and policies.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in a technologically driven environment with intermediate to advanced computer skills.
• Exceptional ability to multi-task and quickly make decisions.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with an ability to assist people in a manner which shows sensitivity tact and professionalism without prejudice or bias.
• Ability to effectively contact individuals or organizations to secure delinquent payments and/ or make payment arrangements for money owed.
• Effectively interpret clarify explain and apply agency policy and procedures business practices federal or state laws and regulations.

Preferred or trainable on the job qualifications

• Proficiency with spreadsheets and word processing.
• Strong communication skills.
• Takes direction as well as initiative.
• Familiar with medical insurance practices.
