Our client is seeking a Compensation Consultant to lead the design implementation and administration of compensation programs across North America with primary responsibility for the U.S. and Mexico. This role will partner with HR and business leaders to develop competitive compensation strategies ensure internal equity and regulatory compliance and support organizational growth. The ideal candidate is analytical consultative and experienced in compensation program design market benchmarking and total rewards strategy in a multi-country environment.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation Strategy & Design
Develop implement and maintain compensation strategies salary structures and pay ranges across the U.S. and Mexico
Support and maintain compensation philosophy job architecture and job leveling initiatives
Ensure compensation programs are competitive equitable and aligned with business objectives
Market Analysis & Program Administration
Conduct market pricing benchmarking and compensation analyses to support compensation decisions
Participate in compensation surveys and analyze market trends across North America
Support annual compensation planning including merit increases salary reviews and incentive programs
Lead or support compensation-related projects including acquisitions organizational changes and system enhancements
Business Partnership & Compliance
Partner with HR Talent Acquisition and business leaders to provide guidance on salary offers promotions job evaluations and compensation decisions
Ensure compliance with U.S. and Mexican compensation regulations including wage laws and pay transparency requirements
Develop reports and recommendations that support strategic workforce and compensation decisions
HRIS & Compensation Systems
Partner with HRIS to optimize compensation systems and related processes
Maintain compensation reporting dashboards and analytics
Support system enhancements testing and ongoing process improvements
Training & Communication
Deliver training and guidance to HR and business leaders on compensation programs and best practices
Present compensation data and recommendations to leadership using clear data-driven insights
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Finance or a related field
36 years of experience managing compensation programs in the U.S.; experience supporting Mexico is strongly preferred
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation highly preferred
Experience developing and administering compensation strategies salary structures and market analyses
Experience supporting global or multi-country compensation initiatives is a plus
Strong knowledge of U.S. compensation practices wage laws and pay transparency requirements; familiarity with Mexican compensation regulations is preferred
Experience with HRIS/HCM systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong analytical project management communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities while partnering effectively with leaders across North America and global teams
