Job Summary

Position Purpose:

The Compensation Analyst actively administers all of Veolia North America compensation programs and systems. The role provides expert support to corporate and field HR on issues related to broad-based pay incentives commissions and other pay components as needed.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Administer North American base pay and incentive programs including annual merit increase review and bonus cycles.
  • Support projects such as survey participation and analysis annual salary reviews and compensation integration for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Conduct job evaluation to ensure consistency across functions and geographies updating the job catalog (codes titles levels) accordingly.
  • Assist HR Business Partners and Managers with compensation-related initiatives and issues making data-driven recommendations for new hires promotions and off-cycle compensation adjustments.
  • Develop and document procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and work with HR Business Partners to apprise managers.
  • Work with HRIS and IT staff to ensure that the HRIS and payroll systems meet compensation needs and are updated to reflect changes to job leveling salary structures bonus programs etc. 
  • Prepare communications of salary and bonus programs for use in internal presentations trainings and policy documents.

Qualifications :

Education/Experience/Background:

  • Three (3) or more years experience in the analysis design implementation and administration of compensation programs. 
  • High School Diploma required. Bachelors Degree and Compensation Professional certification is preferred. 
  • HRIS experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • General compensation knowledge required including compliance with state and federal laws that apply to the plans. 
  • Strong problem solving communication and presentation skills. 
  • Strong analytical and data management skills. 
  • The ideal candidate will be well organized and confident to work independently but be a strong team player. 
  • Strong MS Office skills including Word and Excel are required.

Required Certification/Licenses/Training:

  • Certification in Compensation (ex: CCP) preferred.
