Job Summary


Summary
Responsible for providing support for day-to-day compensation operations. Perform various activities including conducting basic compensation research; reviewing and processing requests in Human Capital Management (HCM) system HCM system standardization and maintenance; and administration of various compensation programs. Provides service and support to internal customers with regards to compensation policies and practices regulatory compliance and HCM functionality. Takes proactive ownership for periodic compensation reports and metrics.

Description

Location: This position is full-time (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday in a typical office environment. This role is onsite at 51 Clemson Rd. Columbia SC.

Position Purpose: The Compensation Analyst supports daily compensation operations including compensation research HCM transaction processing system maintenance and program administration. This role provides guidance on compensation policies compliance and HCM functionality while maintaining compensation reports metrics and data integrity.

What Youll Do:

  • Assists in maintenance of companys Human Capital Management system. Ensures data integrity of the system job description files and other salary administration resources and participates in process improvement initiatives to streamline work and improve customer service. Reviews and processes requests in HCM system and Compensation Inbox. Collaboration and consultation with generalists and management to enhance understanding of compensation policies and processes.

  • Reviews and reconciles scheduled and ad hoc reports to include salaries job profiles grade profiles compensation plans incentive plans promotional increases etc. Participates in compensation projects.

  • Participates in salary surveys conducted by third-party survey providers. Analyzes survey data and prepares supporting documentation.

To Qualify For This Position Youll Need The Following:

  • Required Education: Bachelors

  • Degree Equivalency: 4 years job related work experience or Associates and 2 years job related work experience

  • Required Work Experience: 2 years work experience or a masters degree in human resources or business administration.

  • Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent judgment with ability to make objective business decisions. Excellent quantitative/analytical and critical thinking skills. Strong organizational customer service presentation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Aptitude towards research. Process-oriented thinker. Quick learner. Strong math skills. Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion. Working knowledge of compensation systems planning and wage and hour laws. Working knowledge of FLSA exemption classifications job evaluation methodologies. Working knowledge of principles of wage and salary administration along with market pricing.

  • Required Software and Other Tools: Microsoft Office. Experience creating or ability to learn pivot tables and formulas.
