Community Support Technician Part Time

Job Type: Part-time Location: Southport NC Schedule: 28 hours per week; three days per week Monday through Thursday. Hours are flexible.

Work Setting: In-person community-based and home-based support services.

About the Position

Universal MH/DD/SAS is hiring a dependable and compassionate Community Support Technician to provide one-on-one Community Living and Supports services for an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role helps the person supported build independence participate in meaningful activities and work toward personal goals in a safe respectful and person-centered manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support in home and community-based settings.
• Assist with daily living needs while promoting dignity choice safety and independence.
• Teach model and reinforce habilitative and independent-living skills based on the persons goals and service plan.
• Support participation in meaningful community activities and social opportunities.
• Document services accurately and in accordance with agency requirements.
• Communicate professionally with the person supported family members supervisors and the support team as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid drivers license
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to provide compassionate dependable and person-centered support
• Previous experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required
