Job Summary

What Youll Do: 

As an Employment Support Specialist (Job Coach) youll provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities as they explore secure and succeed in competitive integrated employment. Youll be a mentor advocate and partner in helping others reach their goals through: 

  • Meeting clients in their homes and community to build trust and connection 

  • Conducting career assessments that focus on individual strengths skills and interests 

  • Helping develop or revise resumes practice interviews and identify job leads 

  • Supporting onboarding and training with new employers 

  • Providing ongoing coaching to promote job retention and personal growth 

  • Attending team meetings writing progress reports and maintaining clear communication 

  • Creating positive lasting impactone job one goal one success at a time 

This hybrid role includes in-person and remote work with up to two days per week working from home based on service needs. Mileage for work-related travel is reimbursed.

Qualifications :

What You Bring to the Table: 

Required (Must-Have) 

  • Must meet requirements of a Designated Coordinator 

  • High school diploma or GED plus at least 4 years of experience providing direct care or support to individuals with disabilities or older adults OR 

  • Associate degree in human services education or a related field plus at least 2 years of experience providing direct care or support to individuals with disabilities or older adults OR 

  • Bachelors degree in human services education or a related field plus at least 1 year of experience providing direct care or support to individuals with disabilities or older adults 

  • Valid drivers license and proof of insurance 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age 

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to stand walk bend or lift  

Skills & Abilities 

  • Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills 

  • Ability to document care follow support plans and collaborate with internal and external team members 

  • Experience teaching coaching or mentoring individuals in employment-related skills 

  • Knowledge of the job market and hiring process 

  • Demonstrates integrity by maintaining confidentiality and following organizational policies 

  • Highly organized flexible and able to manage multiple tasks or unexpected demands professionally 

  • Fluency in ASL Spanish Hmong Somali or Oromo preferred  

  • Proficient with using technology for documentation
