JOB OPPORTUNITY

The City of Berkeley invites you to apply for the position of Community Services Aide in the Health Housing & Community Services Department. This position assists community center staff in various areas such as receiving handling and delivering catered meals to specific sites or homebound residents. Additionally the role involves assisting with program activities and facility rentals to provide ongoing service to community members and program participants.

This position is temporary non-benefited and not-to-exceed 19 hours per week.

A typical way of gaining the knowledge skills and abilities for this position is:
Equivalent to completion of high school and twelve (12) months of experience in meal preparation delivery services or working with adults of varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

Other requirements include:
Must be able to travel to various locations within and outside the City of Berkeley to meet the program needs and to fulfill the job responsibilities. When driving on City business maintenance of a valid California drivers license and satisfactory driving record is required. Must report changes in status of drivers license.
