    Job Summary:The Community Resources Specialist is responsible for coordinating with the Homeless and Foster Liaison and delivering comprehensive student-centered supports to re- engage students at risk of dropping out students experiencing homelessness and those identified as neglected or delinquent. This position addresses non-academic barriers that impact attendance behavior engagement and academic success by connecting students and families to integrated academic behavioral and community-based services. The Specialist facilitates access to essential resources including clothing school supplies hygiene products nutrition assistance transportation and other basic needs supports ensuring students are equipped to fully participate in their education. Working collaboratively with school staff families community agencies and district departments the Specialist develops and coordinates targeted individualized interventions that promote student well-being persistence credit attainment and successful school completion.

    ESSENTIALDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIESincludethefollowing:

    • Identify and prioritize students at risk of dropping out including those identified as homelessand/orneglectedanddelinquentusingdataindicatorssuchasattendance behavior mobility and academic performance.
    • Developimplementandmonitorindividualizedwraparoundserviceplansthataddress academic behavioral and environmental needs.
    • Coordinate access to support services including clothing school and hygiene supplies mentoringhealthcarehousingresourcestransportationandothercommunity-based supports and referrals.
    • Facilitatere-engagementstrategiesforstudentswhohavebeendisengagedfrom schoolincludingoutreachintakeandtransitionplanningbacktoaneducational setting.
    • Withparentpermissioncollaboratewithschooladministratorscounselorsteachers and district staff to align interventions and ensure continuity of services.
    • Buildandmaintainpartnershipswithcommunityorganizationssocialserviceagencies juvenile justice programs and other external stakeholders.
    • Monitorstudentprogressandadjustserviceplansbasedondataensuringtimelyand effective interventions.
    • Supportcreditrecoveryalternativeeducationpathwaysandpostsecondaryplanning for identified students.
    • Maintainaccuratedocumentationandcasemanagementrecordsincompliancewith district state and federal requirements.
    • Participateindistrictandsite-leveldatacyclestoevaluateprogrameffectivenessand inform continuous improvement efforts.
    • Providetrainingandguidancetoschoolstaffonidentifyingandsupportingat-risk student populations.
    • Ensurecompliancewithapplicablefederalandstateprogramrequirementsincluding thoserelatedtoTitleINeglectedandDelinquentandMcKinney-Ventoasapplicable.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or GED ANDtwo (2) years of relevant receptionist clerical customer service office support or closely related experience; ORany equivalentcombinationofexperienceand/oreducationfromwhichcomparableknowledge skills and abilities have been achieved.

    • Experienceworkingwithat-riskyouthdropoutrecoveryprogramsorjuvenile justice/child welfare systems.
    • Demonstratedabilitytocollaborate acrosssystemsandbuildcommunitypartnerships.

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    • Musthold or obtain an IVPfingerprint clearance cardandpass a backgroundcheck.
    • Mayberequiredtoworkoutsidenormalworking hours.
    • Mayberequiredtoliftand/orcarryheavybulkysuppliesmaterialsequipmentand other items weighing up to 35 pounds.
    • Mayberequiredtoobtain andmaintaina validArizonadriverslicense.
