Develops implements and administers community/public affairs and typical social responsibility programs for company. Makes recommendations regarding corporate donations. Responds to employee and client inquiries regarding community involvement. Coordinates participation in community and charitable activities philanthropy projects and organizations. Serves as company representative in interactions with not-for-profit organizations. Represents company at public functions related to charitable or community-based activities. May interact with local government.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with non-profit organizations that align with the companys priorities
- Evaluate and manage charitable giving sponsorship and community investment opportunities
- Lead the planning coordination and execution of employee volunteer initiatives fundraising campaigns and other community engagement activities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for employee engagement and community impact
- Facilitate committee activities to evaluate grant requests proposals to ensure alignment with priorities and available resources
- Represent the company at non-profit events community meetings and volunteer activities
- Measure analyze and effectively communicate the impact of community initiatives through reports newsletters dashboards and presentations
- Ensure compliance with company policies governing charitable contributions sponsorships volunteer activities and community partnerships
Bachelors Degree and 3 years of relevant exempt experience; Masters Degree and 1 years of relevant professional experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelors Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
- NNS Apprentice School graduate
- Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
- Associates Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
- Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
- High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing Shipbuilding Trades Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
- High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing Shipbuilding Trades Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
- Experience managing corporate philanthropy programs
- Experience working with non-profit organizations foundations or community-based organizations
- Knowledge of employee volunteer engagement strategies
- Strategic communications or marketing background
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Strong verbal communication/presentation skills
- Event planning experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Project management
- Cross-functional collaboration experience
