About the Community Life Director
The Community Life Director at the Gilbert Campus owns excellence in Community Life overseeing how people engage from their first visit as a guest to becoming an active church member. Focused on assimilation this leader will guide individuals along the path to membership and oversee the weekend serving teams (such as the guest tent greeters and ushers). Furthermore this role entails maximizing the resources entrusted to the church managing facility operations security and weekend logistics. This director is an energetic followable leader with high EQ who skillfully pursues people for discipleship.
The Community Life Directors responsibilities include:
Assimilation
- People first leader.
- Personally and appropriately engage in relationships for the purposes of assimilating guests to engaged members and personally connecting with the discipleship rhythms of the church.
- Purposefully invite coordinate and execute assimilation gatherings.
- Promote the path to membership and evaluate assimilation progress.
- Ensure the church database and platforms are used effectively and efficiently.
- Attend events across various ministries to engage people for discipleship.
Weekend Service Leadership
- Provide leadership in the execution of weekend services including hosting services.
- Lead the guest tent greeters ushers hospitality and parking ministries during weekend services.
- Recruit train and support leadership for all community life functions (assimilation and gathering teams) both staff and non-staff.
- Ensure proper execution of all community life ministry functions according to standards set forth.
General Operations
- Lead and manage staff team members for ministry accountability and effectiveness.
- Oversee and execute the weekly offering count and deposits.
- Build teams for security repairs maintenance and janitorial care of the facility.
- Schedule contractors for facility concerns and ensure routine maintenance (like fire inspections) occurs.
- Oversee the security system key issuing lock-up procedures and facility use policies.
- Ensure the campus facility and ministry assets and budgets are properly managed while following established policies and procedures.
- Ensure church members with financial and physical needs are cared for and have a positive experience.

- High School diploma required; College degree is preferred
- Ministry experience is required
