Overview

Framed within the mission vision and community relations plan of Blank Childrens Hospital the Outreach Coordinator Community Services is responsible for coordination reporting and/or support of educational programs focused on pediatric health safety and well-being. This person serves as a representative for Blank Childrens Hospital in the community and region. The successful completion of responsibilities contributes towards the implementation of programs to improve the overall health and well-being of children.

Responsibilities
  • Represent Blank Childrens Hospital and the Advocacy and Outreach programs professionally in communities throughout the State.
  • Reports any questions or concerns regarding compliance immediately to the attention of department or organization/hospital administrative staff.
  • Utilizes a family-centered approach (considering physical psych/social spiritual educational safety and related criteria) appropriate to the age of the patients served.
  • Shows responsible and accountable management of human fiscal and material resources.
  • Accepts responsibility for maintaining and developing personal and professional skills and knowledge related to the work area assigned.
  • Attends and participates in scheduled meetings and trainings.
  • Demonstrates initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed customer expectations.
  • Integrates and demonstrates CORE values and Expectations for Personal and Service Excellence to guide professional behaviors while adhering to the policies and procedures of UPHDM.
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities; open and objective to others views; gives them welcome feedback; contributes to positive team goals; and puts the success of the team above own interests.

  • Demonstrates the knowledge that patient and workplace safety is a priority by preventing errors accidents and infections and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately.
Qualifications

Education: HS diploma or equivalent required
