Community Engagement Coordinator, Office of Student Life

Position Introduction:

The Community Engagement Coordinator of Student Life is responsible for fostering a commitment to student success by actively developing implementing and maintaining programs and services that enrich student learning build and maintain a strong sense of community and support the educational professional social and personal development of students at the University of Oklahoma. This position will work with the Community Engagement functional unit within Student Life to help students as they navigate through involvement and engagement while at OU and will advise registered student organizations on campus.

• Serving as the primary advisor for the Black Student Association and secondary support advisor to all departmental student groups advised by Student Life.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree.

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of equivalent experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree.

Department Preferences:

• Masters degree in higher education administration student affairs or a related field.
• 0-24 months of experience.
• Experience with first generation student engagement/programming.
