Community Education Specialist (SC)

• Develop training outreach and marketing materials such as presentations flyers and informational materials to meet the needs of the target community.
• Develop sexual and domestic violence and prevention activities tailored to community needs supporting youth and adults of all identities.
• Collaborate across departments to support educational initiatives.
• Plan and develop curricula to educate students and community members about healthy relationships and sexual and domestic violence.
• Develop connections with community resources and allied service providers.
• Actively participate in community and statewide coalitions roundtables CHNAs etc.
• Collaborate and assist with pre-service training curriculum development and execution as directed by the Community Impact Manager.
• Support ongoing evaluation activities to determine efficacy of efforts.
• Assist with planning and execution of community awareness events fundraisers etc.
• Create write and publish educational material on sexual and domestic violence and human trafficking on New Hopes social media accounts and website.

• Document events in the organizations database and prepare reports as requested.
• Support grant writing activities.
• Support New Hopes direct service provision by assisting with services such as hotline.
• Attend all-agency meetings and other meetings as requested.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Community Impact Manager.

• 1-2 years experience working in a non-profit setting.
• 1-2 years experience working in a community-facing role.
• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required.
