Our client a real estate owner and property management firm is looking for an experienced Community Director to oversee the operations and performance of two multifamily communities. This leadership role is responsible for driving financial performance maintaining high occupancy ensuring exceptional resident satisfaction and leading on-site teams to achieve operational excellence.
The Community Director will work closely with regional leadership leasing maintenance accounting and other internal teams to optimize community performance while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable housing regulations.
Community Director Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of two multifamily communities.
- Manage community budgets financial performance and expense control initiatives.
- Review monthly financial reports and ensure accurate revenue and expense reporting.
- Develop strategies to maximize occupancy rental income and resident retention.
- Conduct regular property inspections to maintain safety cleanliness and overall community appearance.
- Lead coach and develop leasing administrative and maintenance teams.
- Oversee staffing scheduling payroll approvals and performance management.
- Monitor vendor relationships purchase orders contracts and invoice approvals.
- Ensure timely completion of maintenance requests unit turns and resident concerns.
- Collaborate with leasing teams on pricing strategies renewals and marketing initiatives.
- Assist with annual budgeting capital improvement planning and operational forecasting.
- Monitor market conditions and recommend operational improvements to enhance community performance.
- Maintain compliance with company policies landlord-tenant laws and fair housing regulations.
Community Director Qualifications:
- 3 years of multifamily property management experience.
- Supervisory or leadership experience is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelors degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of property operations budgeting and financial reporting.
- Working knowledge of landlord-tenant laws and fair housing regulations.
- Excellent organizational communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software (Yardi experience preferred).
- Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) designation preferred.
- Valid drivers license required.

Compensation: $85K - $100K salary plus bonus
