About the Role:
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with 2 3 years of experience to join its growing Community Associations practice. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney looking to deepen their expertise in community association law while working directly with condominium homeowners and cooperative association boards throughout the region.
The successful candidate will play a key role in advising community association clients on governance covenant enforcement collections transactional matters and administrative litigation. This position offers substantial client interaction increasing responsibility and the opportunity to build a long-term practice within a collaborative and highly respected team.
Working closely with experienced attorneys and dedicated support staff you will gain hands-on experience managing matters from inception through resolution while serving as a trusted advisor to community association boards and property managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise community association boards and property managers on governance and operational matters.
- Handle covenant enforcement collections transactional and general counsel matters.
- Represent community associations in administrative proceedings collection actions and related litigation.
- Draft and review contracts governing documents correspondence and legal memoranda.
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
- Manage matters from initial assessment through resolution including court appearances and trials when necessary.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
- Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to deliver efficient and practical legal solutions.
Requirements:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- 2 3 years of legal experience preferably involving community associations real estate litigation collections or related practice areas.
- Active admission to the District of Columbia and/or Maryland Bar required.
- Virginia Bar admission is a plus.
- Strong legal writing analytical organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
