JOBâSUMMARY:â

The Communications Systems for Exercise and Training Events Support Team Member supports USSTRATCOM/J7 collective training exercises wargames and real-world event preparation through planning configuration operation maintenance testing and user support for audio video videoâteleconferencing and data communications systems. Personnel in this role provide technical communications support to the Joint Training and Exercise Control Center (JTECC) Directorate conference rooms and associated training environments in support of command mission requirements.â

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:ââ

• Define plan and configure automation and communications systems for exercises and training.
• Operate communications systems during training exercises and real-world event preparation.
• Support users with audio video video teleconferencing and data communications systems during training exercises and real-world event preparation.
• Prepare and update communications data for all training events and scenarios.
• Coordinate scheduleâmaintain test and configure equipment systems of the Joint Training and Exercise Control Center and Directorate conference rooms.
• Maintain configuration management documentation for communications systems in the JTECC and USSTRATCOM/J7 spaces.
• Provide JECG augmentation during training exercises and real-world event preparation.
• Provide communications facilitators and role players asârequired.
• Provide management of laptop computers requiring Security certification.
• Support operation and user assistance across applicable systems and equipment including secure and non-secure telephone equipment Defense Red Switch Network audio recorder enhanced Communications Console AMX video display unit PLANAR video wall DICES audio controller GOLD JWICS GCCS-J VOIP terminals STEN NPES and/or Joint Integrated Missile Defense Missile Warning Training System.â

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:â

• Minimum 2 years of detailed demonstrated experienceâoperatingâon one or more of the following communications systems and/or equipment types:â
  • Secure and non-secure telephone equipment
  • Defense Red Switch Network
  • Audio recorder
  • Enhanced Communications Console
  • AMX video display unit
  • PLANAR video wall
  • DICES audio controller
  • GOLD JWICS GCCS-J VOIP terminals
  • STEN
  • NPES

• Experience with Joint Integrated Missile Defense Missile Warning Training System (JIMDTS)â
• At least 5 years of experience in Nuclear Command Control and Communications operations including MAJCOM-level experience operating audio video video teleconferencing and data communications systems and equipment.
• Experience with Command operations center or battle staff.ââ

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:â

• Security certification for laptop management responsibilities.
• Experience supporting communications systems in USSTRATCOM airborne command post National Airborne Operations Center or other National-level or MAJCOM-level operations center environments.
• Experience supporting JTECC operations JECG augmentation or communications support for collective training and exercise events.
• Experience operating communications systems in support of Nuclear Command Control and Communications mission requirements.â

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:ââ

• Highschool diploma or equivalent
