Job Summary

The Joliet Public Library is seeking a creative outgoing Communications Intern to support our
marketing efforts. This is a hands-on paid internship designed for a student who wants real-
world experience in communications social media writing and event support all within a
community-centered library environment.


This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating content talking to people and helping tell
the story of a library they love. Spanish speaking skills are a plus. This is a temporary
(September through December) part-time (maximum of 20-hours a week) position.
Qualifications
The minimum education requirement for the position is a high school diploma and enrollment
in college. Ideal candidates will have an interest in marketing communications.

Compensation
The hourly pay is $17.00.
