Were currently hiring a Communications Associate to support our growing federal state local transportation communications and marketing work that is passionate about planning developing and implementing successful communication and engagement strategies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 3 years of professional marketing communications experience looking forward to building a long-term career.

Job Location(s): This position follows a hybrid work schedule and can be based out of our Rockville MD Washington DC or Reston VA office. Candidates must be located within the Washington Metropolitan Area and able to commute to one of these office locations as needed.

As a Communications Associate you will:

• Contribute to the development of communications plans and strategies to meet client objectives and goals

• Interact and collaborate with team members and clients through written communications meetings and collaborative work platforms

• Manage the development of creative materials working in coordination with our Creative Studios designers editors internal program team and clients on a variety of products including newsletters fact sheets videos case studies social media content emails and websites

• Coordinate project workflows deliverable trackers timelines progress reports and meeting materials.

• Provide support coordination and development of strategic plans and presentations

• Support planning and executing events meetings and workshops

• Manage multiple deliverables at once with varying deadlines using Microsoft Office and other collaboration tools including Teams Trello Sharepoint SmartSheets etc.

What This Role Requires

• Bachelors degree required (e.g. communications marketing public relations advertising or related field)

• 3 years of professional marketing communications experience; transportation communications or marketing experience a plus.

What We Want You To Have

• Knowledge of traditional and social media environments; understanding of various communication channels and how they work (print social digital paid media events and outreach direct response etc.)

• An understanding of email management systems email content strategy and analytics and email platforms such as GovDelivery MailChimp Constant Contact or Salesforce Marketing Cloud

• Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word PowerPoint Outlook Excel)

• Knowledge of marketing analytics platforms such as Google Analytics

• Willingness for moderate travel as needed

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position including but not limited to relevant work experience skills certifications and competencies that align to the specified role geographic location education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
