COMMUNICATIONS ADMINISTRATOR Mechanical Engineering contributes to and implements the Department of Mechanical Engineerings multi-channel communications strategy including ongoing maintenance of digital communication channels. This role carries significant responsibility for content creation social media management internal and external e-newsletter production internal communications and brand consistency working with limited supervision from the Communications Manager. The position will collaborate with the Web Manager and Senior Producer/Creative Lead to ensure timely and accurate delivery of digital content and will contribute to the coordinated work of the Digital Strategy group.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Bachelors degree in communications English journalism marketing or related field; minimum of three years experience in communications marketing or a closely related role; strong writing editing and proofreading skills with demonstrated ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and channels; experience with social media content creation scheduling tools and analytics platforms; experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or Salesforce Marketing Cloud; demonstrated design skills and proficiency with editing and design tools like Adobe InDesign Illustrator Photoshop or Canva; experience with web content management systems like WordPress or Drupal; interest in understanding and implementing AI-based workflows with appropriate safeguards/transparency for content creation platform engagement and work process management; strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment; ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team; and ability to maintain confidentiality. PREFERRED: Experience working in an academic or research environment with a focus on engineering and technology; experience with HTML and CSS; photography or video production experience; familiarity with accessibility standards for digital content (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines); and experience with SEO best practices.
