A highly respected AmLaw firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join its Orlando office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated business litigation matters within a collaborative and nationally recognized litigation platform.

The firm is seeking a motivated well-rounded associate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to take on substantive responsibility while working closely with partners and clients.

The Role

Associates in this position will work on a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters in both state and federal courts including:

  • Managing written and document discovery
  • Researching and drafting pleadings motions and court filings
  • Conducting and defending depositions
  • Preparing witnesses for testimony
  • Appearing for status conferences and hearings
  • Arguing motions in state and federal court
  • Assisting with trial preparation and settlement strategy

Experience participating in settlement conferences negotiations and trial preparation is strongly preferred.

Ideal Background
  • 24 years of commercial litigation experience
  • Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills
  • Experience handling sophisticated business disputes in state and federal courts
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a busy collaborative environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive team-oriented attitude
  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials
  • Active Florida Bar admission and good standing required
