Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and experiencedCommercial Lines Account Managerthat will be responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts while building strong relationships with clients and carrier representatives. This role requires a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional capable of navigating the dynamic world of commercial insurance providing tailored solutions and ensuring clients receive exceptional service.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a designated portfolio of commercial insurance clients maintaining and nurturing strong client relationships based on trust and professionalism.
- Review and analyze clients insurance needs to recommend appropriate coverage solutions that meet their unique business requirements.
- Manage the renewal process for commercial policies ensuring timely and accurate preparation of quotes proposals and policy documents.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries including policy changes billing questions claims assistance and general account servicing.
- Work closely with underwriters and carriers to negotiate competitive rates and coverages on behalf of clients.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of various commercial insurance products industry trends and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct client coverage reviews and provide risk management advice to minimize exposure and protect their commercial assets.
- Ensure compliance with company standards insurance guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify cross-selling or upselling opportunities to meet and exceed client expectations and company goals.
- Stay informed of emerging market trends and seek to implement new processes to improve service efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the agency management system adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a commercial insurance account management role or similar position.
- Strong knowledge of commercial lines insurance products coverages and industry guidelines.
- Proficiency with agency management systems (e.g. Applied AMS360) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster positive client and carrier relationships.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess client needs and recommend solutions.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and willingness to pursue relevant industry certifications (e.g. CIC CPCU).
- A proactive mindset with a customer-centric approach focused on delivering exceptional service.
