Commercial Lender

Location: Rockford IL

A growing regional financial institution is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Lender to join its expanding commercial banking team in Rockford IL. This is an excellent opportunity for a relationship-focused lender looking to leverage a strong platform competitive incentive structure and significant lending capacity while maintaining a community banking approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a commercial loan portfolio with a focus on C&I and commercial real estate lending
• Generate new business through prospecting networking and relationship development
• Expand deposit and treasury management relationships
• Structure and negotiate commercial lending solutions
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide ongoing portfolio management
• Collaborate with internal credit and leadership teams on complex lending opportunities
• Participate in community and business development activities within the market

Qualifications

• 7 years of commercial lending experience
• Existing commercial loan portfolio of at least $30M required
• Strong preference for candidates with portfolios exceeding $80M
• Proven business development and relationship management success
• Strong credit analysis and underwriting knowledge
• Experience with middle-market and C&I lending preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented banking environment
