As part of the Materials Product DesignEngineering team at Apple you will help design the next generation of theworlds finest electronic will drivethe rapid advancementof materials and processes that are used on the enclosures of all our products. As a Color Resin Engineer you will drive the development of new color resin materials and processes to meet strict structural and aesthetic requirements setting material specifications and working with our cross-functional teams to bring these materials to scale. You will work closely with manydifferent cross-functional teams including Industrial Design Operations andReliability. BS or MS in Chemical Engineering / Materials Science / Mechanical Engineeringn5 years of industry experience nTechnical knowledge of pigments dyes and resinsnFamiliarity with color analysis and color modeling (reflectance curves visual assessment of color)nStrong analytical/problem solvingskills and ability to use statistical tools and techniquesnTechnical project management experience leading a project from Ru0026D to productionnExcellent verbal and written communication and social skillsnFlexibility and comfort working in aquickly changing environmentnThis position will require international travel (10%)

PhD in Chemical Engineering / Materials Science / Mechanical Engineeringn3 years work experience in resin compoundingnExperience working remotely with vendorsnExperience working on multiple products on different development timelinesnExperience with high-quality cosmetic parts and finishes in high volumenTrack record of material selectionand development for products with demanding performance requirements
