Job Summary

Position Summary

The Collision Estimator is the engine of the repair plan and often the customers first point of contact. You will inspect damaged vehicles write accurate and complete estimates own the parts process and keep carriers aligned from intake through delivery. Working closely with the General Manager you will protect parts gross profit keep files moving and guide customers through what is often a stressful experience with clarity and patience. This is a key role in a growing front office with the autonomy to own your work and the backing of a hands on family oriented team.

Key Responsibilities

Damage Assessment and Estimating

Inspect damaged vehicles identify visible and hidden damage and determine repair or replace

Write accurate complete estimates using CCC ONE Mitchell or Audatex built to manufacturer repair procedures

Document damage with photos and notes and keep clean organized files from intake to delivery

Parts and Margin

Own the parts process end to end including ordering timing and on time delivery

Manage parts gross profit and resolve returns cores and price discrepancies

Insurance Supplements and Compliance

Negotiate with carriers and write supplements as hidden damage is found with State Farm as the primary DRP

Apply sound OEM versus aftermarket judgment and keep estimates aligned to safe proper repair standards

Customer Experience and Coordination

Greet customers explain damage costs and timelines clearly and guide them through the process

Coordinate with the General Manager on scheduling and order timing to keep the shop flowing



Requirements

Qualifications

Required

Proven proficiency with estimating systems such as CCC ONE Mitchell or Audatex

Collision repair knowledge strong enough to assess damage and write accurate complete estimates

Ownership of the parts process including ordering margin and on time delivery

Carrier negotiation and supplement writing with sound OEM versus aftermarket judgment

Strong customer communication and a calm helpful presence

Valid drivers license and clean driving record

Preferred

DRP experience; State Farm familiarity is a strong plus

I-CAR estimating certification

Familiarity with import and dealer collision work (Lexus Subaru Toyota)

Ark-La-Tex ties or openness to relocating to Shreveport

Required Skills:

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 3 years of customer service or related experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Valid drivers license with a clean driving record. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software. Preferred Qualifications Associates or Bachelors degree in a related field. Automotive industry experience. Body shop experience. Bilingual.
