Work Day and Hours Work Days and Hours will vary between Monday Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM depending on students schedule

This is an ongoing internship located in Columbus OH. The selected candidate will ideally be able to work throughout the school year and summer for an average of 20 hours per week or less (with flexibility during the school semesters given class schedule and course load).

The pay rate for a college intern is based upon the students academic status:
Undergraduate student rate of pay - $16.93 per hour
Graduate student rate of pay - $20.59 per hour

What Youll Do as a College Intern:
Electronically designs brochures manuals posters flyers use Adobe InDesign Photoshop and Illustrator forms and publications based on rough drafts.
Create custom layouts for wall artwork requests based on wall size specifications.
Edit final material for accuracy and make revisions as necessary.
Document project progress using Smartsheet.
Assist with framing printing and laminating of small in-house requests.
Assist in preparing production-ready files including packaging InDesign files and exporting assets in proper formats (PDF PNG EPS).
Help organize and maintain the departments digital asset library (logos photos templates) to ensure consistent usage across projects.
Preform basic photo retouching and color correction for print and digital materials.
Update existing design templates with new content or branding or leadership elements.
Works on team projects as well as independent projects.

To be eligible for an internship opportunity at the Ohio Department of Public Safety an applicant must:
Be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university.
Be in good standing with the college/university.
Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0.
Be enrolled in at least one course.
Be pursuing a degree or finishing a degree.
