Coding Specialist Imaging

POSITION SUMMARY:The Coding Specialist is primarily responsible for billing charge entry and related coding functions within the Imaging & EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of one (1) year of experience in a medical or healthcare setting requiredIn lieu of experience graduate from an accredited Medical Billing/Coding program may be consideredCertified Professional Coder (CPC) certification and/or Radiology Certified Coder (RCC) certification preferredCandidates who do not hold a CPC or RCC at the time of hire will be required to obtain certification within two (2) years of employmentQUALIFICATIONS:Strong discretion and ability to handle confidential informationComposure in fastpaced highpressure environmentsWillingness and ability to learn new technologiesDependable punctual and detailorientedStrong multitasking and independentwork capabilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAccurate documentation skillsAbility to follow established workflows consistentlyWORK SCHEDULE:Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM(Once hired and consistently demonstrating the ability to code independently with a high degree of accuracy consideration for a transition to a remote position is possible)
