Salary: $30.00/hr. - $35.00/hr.

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Code Enforcement Officer to join our team of professionals. This position offers great opportunity for dynamic motivated self-starters to work on a variety of work assignments. Youll be a member of our highly respected team of professionals with a full complement of resources to support you and exciting projects to keep you challenged.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform field inspections for rental housing program
Read and examine plans and specifications when required
Report violations and maintain files/records
Perform other related duties as required

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Interpretation of codes in the field and ability to provide code compliant solutions
Ability to work with all levels of management; strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to establish priorities work independently in rapidly changing environment and function as group leader.
Must possess the ability to positively interact with the other staff members the general public contractors governmental entities and other clientele
Good time management organization and attention to detail skills
Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and a considerable amount of independent judgment

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

TDLR Code Enforcement Officer II licensure required
ICC International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) Certification a plus
1 years of experience in security enforcement or compliance-related work including investigating allegations conducting research and resolving complaints concerns or conflicts
Experience in building construction or trades highly desired
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Valid Drivers License and good driving record required
