Code Enforcement Officer

OVERVIEW

The Cache County Sheriffs Office invites candidates to apply for a Code Enforcement Officer position. The Code Enforcement Officer performs civilian enforcement of municipal codes within contract cities served by the Cache County Sheriffs Office.

This is a full-time benefited position. All benefits start on the first day! Medical Dental Vision Life 401k Utah Retirement System 14 paid holidays and 18 days of Personal Leave in the first year.

This position is responsible for identifying documenting and enforcing city ordinances related to public nuisances zoning parking property maintenance and related infractions. The position operates independently in the field and coordinates with deputies when enforcement situations escalate beyond the scope of civil or infraction-level authority.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: Graduation from high school or GED; AND one year of experience involving law enforcement code enforcement municipal government experience or a closely related field.
