Position Summary:
The Server is responsible for providing outstanding and genuine service by taking drink and food orders while displaying menu knowledge and offering recommendations.

Salary Rate: $16.90/hr

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:
A warm personality attentive and presentable.
Committed to delivering high levels of customer service.
Responds courteously and efficiently to queries and problems from guests and all staff.
Takes food and beverages orders using POS System(s) to ring items in
Ensures opening ongoing and closing side work is complete and signed off by a manager on duty
Responsible for brewing coffee and tea prior to shift and dumping out extra after shift. Able to make espresso-based drinks
Ensures supplies/product are properly stocked before during and after shift
Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude
Preparing and rolling enough silverware for your shift and the next shift
Sweeping Vacuuming and keeping dining room clean before during and after your shift
Maintains constant awareness of safety issues (i.e. broken glass leaks broken chairs wet floors and suspicious persons) reporting all safety incidents to MOD
Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Miramonte Resort dress code standards
Performs other related duties as assigned
Assists in removal of service ware or other items from tables and countertops and place them in trash receptacles
Must ensure proper bookkeeping and proper payment is received
Checks identification to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase/consumption
Offers menu advice and suggestions to guests
Maintains a strong knowledge of food & beverage trends
Provides general resort information for guests
Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort activities as well as any special events
Up sells other resort services and amenities to guests
Communicates all pertinent information to the team
Efficiently closing out checks on POS
Maintains a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction
Resolves guest issues promptly and with great care and effectiveness
Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Miramonte Resort including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest
Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner assisting other departments with necessary information
Follows through on lost and found procedures. Returning left behind guest items (such as credit cards sunglasses wallet phone etc.) to the hotel front desk to be reclaimed by guest.
Remains alert courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all time
Ensuring your guest/table is taken care of to the best of your availability
Ensures final quality check on food and beverage prior to serving guests

Qualifications

Prerequisites:
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Must be mature pleasant courteous cooperative and an enthusiastic team player who displays good human relations skills.
Must be able to read write and speak English
Must possess valid Food Handlers card and RBS certification upon hire
Ability to accurately follow instructions both verbally and written
Be highly detail orientated
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Have basic computer knowledge
Possesses excellent communication skills
Be professional in appearance and demeanor
Always ensure a teamwork environment
Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings weekends and holidays
Ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests

Education/Experience:
High school diploma
At least one-year food & beverage experience preferred
At least six months experience with POS systems preferred

Ability to stand on feet throughout the shift with intermittent periods of walking and stair climbing.
Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs. at shoulder height
Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.;
Ability to bend squat push and pull frequently
Ability to be outdoors in all weather
Ability to perform simple grasping fine manipulation squeezing overhead reaching and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently.
