Title: COBOL Technical Lead

Location: Plano TX

Duration: 6 Months

Key Responsibilities:

• We are looking for an experienced COBOL Technical resource to lead the design development and maintenance of large-scale mainframe applications.
• The role requires strong hands-on expertise in COBOL and mainframe technologies technical leadership capabilities and the ability to guide teams through legacy enhancement and modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Must drive development and maintenance using COBOL JCL CICS DB2/IMS
• Lead solution design code reviews and technical decision-making
• Must understand Agile methodologies and DevOps for mainframe
• Perform complex impact analysis and ensure high-quality delivery
• Mentor and guide developers; enforce coding standards and best practices
• Coordinate with architects business analysts QA and production support teams
• Own end-to-end delivery for assigned modules including release readiness
• Support production issues root cause analysis and performance tuning
• Participate in legacy modernization and mainframe-to-Java/cloud initiatives
• Ensure compliance with security audit and regulatory requirements
• Having Assembler experience is an additional advantage
