Job Summary
| Position Summary: | This coatings technician position is located at the University of Dayton Research Institute with the Materials Degradation Groups Coating Technology Team. This position concentrates on: operation and maintenance of the exposure test cabinets such as salt spray humidity and Xenon-arc chambers for accelerated exposure testing of material; conducting material testing methods and protocols; layout of laboratory test matrices and daily schedules based upon approved test plans; maintenance and troubleshooting of exposure test cabinets and associated equipment as required; performance of other laboratory coating exposures and testing. |

| Minimum Qualifications: | -High School Diploma or equivalent |
| Preferred Qualifications: | While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications the ideal candidate will bring many of the following: -Experience with military aerospace coating application on aircraft (de-painting process pretreatment organic coating application) qualitative interpretation of coating performance as per ASTM standard methods |
