Co-Responder
Location: Sheboygan WI (Based at Sheboygan Police Department)
Schedule:6:00 p.m. 2:00 a.m. (FT) rotating scheduled every other weekend
Location: Sheboygan Falls WI (Based at Sheboygan Falls Police Department) - $1200.00*
Schedule: 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. or 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (FT/PT) rotating schedule every other weekend

Join Elevate Inc. as a Co-Responder and make a meaningful impact by providing compassionate trauma-sensitive crisis response in partnership with law enforcement first responders community providers and individuals experiencing mental health or substance use challenges.
The Co-Responder provides community-based crisis intervention de-escalation assessment safety planning follow-up support and connection to resources. This position works collaboratively with the Sheboygan Police Department and community partners to provide person-centered responses that promote safety recovery and improved outcomes for individuals in crisis.

*Hiring Bonus Details
- 50% ($600) is paid on your second paycheck after hire.
- 50% ($600) is paid after successfully completing six months of employment provided you remain in good standing within the same positionwith no disciplinary actions.
- Employees who voluntarily leave employment before completing one year must repay a prorated portion of the second installment only. The initial payment is not subject to repayment.

- Respond to emergency and police-based calls for service involving individuals experiencing mental health substance use or other behavioral health crises.
- Provide community-based crisis intervention de-escalation assessment safety planning and connection to appropriate resources.
- Complete follow-up contacts with individuals engaged through crisis and emergency services.
- Collaborate with law enforcement dispatch county partners and community providers to improve coordination and service delivery.
- Serve as a liaison between individuals families first responders and community resources.
- Utilize trauma-informed person-centered and Zero Suicide approaches when supporting individuals and their families.
- Participate in patrol briefings debriefings ride-alongs and proactive community outreach with law enforcement partners.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation and required data collection.
- Maintain required training education certifications and best practice standards including applicable Wisconsin requirements.
- Protect client confidentiality and maintain professional standards at all times.
- Bachelors degree in Mental Health Social Work Psychology Counseling or a related field required.
- Knowledge of behavioral health substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to assess situations problem-solve and make sound decisions in crisis environments.
- Experience or training in crisis intervention preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to provide culturally responsive and respectful services.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Understanding of self-care practices and maintaining professional boundaries.
- Knowledge of applicable federal state and local laws related to crisis response and behavioral health services.
