CNC Turning Machinist

• Set up and operate Okuma and Mazak CNC turning centers.
• Read and interpret blueprints engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Select tooling establish work offsets and make tool wear adjustments.
• Perform first-piece in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues to maintain quality and productivity.
• Complete machine changeovers routine maintenance and production documentation.
• Follow all safety quality and ISO procedures while maintaining a clean organized work area.
• Collaborate with engineering quality maintenance and production teams to meet manufacturing goals.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of CNC turning experience.
• Ability to independently set up and operate CNC lathes.
• Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers calipers dial bore gages indicators and height gages.
• Strong understanding of machining practices tooling feeds and speeds and workholding.
• Strong attention to detail problem-solving skills and commitment to quality.

• Experience with Okuma OSP and/or Mazak Mazatrol controls.
• Experience machining stainless steel brass carbon steel and high-performance alloys.
• Experience in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment.
• Experience with bar-fed production live tooling robotics or automated machining cells.
