Together with CCI Fredericks is positioned for long-term growth innovation and continued SummaryThe CNC Subsea Machinist is responsible for the precision machining of critical subsea components used in offshore and subsea applications. This role requires advanced machining expertise strict adherence to quality and safety standards and the ability to work with complex materials and tight tolerances. The CNC Subsea Machinist plays a key role in ensuring components meet stringent industry customer and regulatory ResponsibilitiesSet up operate and monitor CNC machinery (mills lathes and/or multiaxis machines) used in the manufacture of subsea componentsMachine complex highprecision parts in accordance with engineering drawings specifications and quality plansInterpret complex blueprints GD&T work instructions and inspection requirementsSelect tooling establish feeds and speeds and optimize machining processes for subsea materials (e.g. stainless steel duplex super duplex Inconel titanium)Load verify and adjust CNC programs; perform authorized edits as requiredConduct firstarticle inprocess and final inspections using advanced precision measuring and inspection equipmentIdentify troubleshoot and resolve machining and process issues to prevent nonconforming productMaintain traceability documentation inspection records and production data as required for subsea and customer standardsEnsure all work complies with company quality management systems and subsea industry requirementsMaintain a clean organized and safe work area in compliance with occupational health and safety standardsCollaborate with engineering quality and production teams to support continuous improvement initiativesAdhere to strict safety environmental and quality requirements inherent in subsea manufacturingQualifications & ExperienceRequired:High school diploma or equivalentCompletion of a machinist apprenticeship or equivalent experienceSeveral years of experience as a CNC Machinist ideally in oil & gas energy or heavy industrial manufacturingStrong ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&TProven experience machining tighttolerance safetycritical componentsProficient use of precision measuring equipmentStrong attention to detail and qualityPreferred:Journeyperson or Red Seal Machinist certification (Canada) or equivalentExperience with subsea or pressurecontaining componentsExperience with advanced CNC equipment (multiaxis live tooling subspindles)Familiarity with industry quality standards such as ISO API or customerspecific subsea requirementsExperience machining corrosionresistant and exotic alloysKey CompetenciesAdvanced machining and technical expertiseHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailStrong problemsolving and troubleshooting skillsCommitment to safety and qualityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamEffective communication and documentation skillsPhysical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to stand walk and perform repetitive tasks for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodationManual dexterity and strong handeye coordinationWork performed in an industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to noise heavy machinery metal chips oils and coolantsHealth Safety & QualityThe CNC Subsea Machinist is required to comply with all occupational health and safety requirements quality management systems and safe work practices recognizing the safetycritical nature of subsea products.
