We are hiring a CNC Programmer with strong Lathe VTL and Milling experience to support high-precision aerospace manufacturing in Meriden Connecticutone of the regions established centers for advanced machining and aerospace production.


This is a hands-on shop-floor driven role where you will not only program but also help develop manufacturing methods fixtures and processes from concept through production release.


What Youll Do

  • Program CNC Lathe Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) and Milling machines using Mastercam

  • Develop machining methods sequences fixturing and process plans for precision aerospace components

  • Use Siemens NX CAD to create setup sheets operation sheets and process documentation

  • Support production with hands-on troubleshooting setup and first article runs

  • Create detailed quotes for precision-machined components

  • Define inspection methods and collaborate with Quality on GD&T requirements

  • Establish routing data labor standards and manufacturing time estimates

  • Partner directly with production teams to improve efficiency quality and repeatability

  • Support outside vendors with clear manufacturing instructions and process definitions

  • Manage multiple high-priority jobs in a fast-paced aerospace environment


What Were Looking For

  • 5 years of CNC programming or equivalent manufacturing experience

  • Strong experience with VTL lathe and milling machine programming

  • Proficiency in Mastercam and Siemens NX

  • Strong understanding of GD&T and aerospace-level blueprint interpretation

  • Experience setting up and running first-piece approval on CNC machines

  • Background in precision machining toolroom or aerospace manufacturing strongly preferred

  • Ability to multitask and manage complex high-mix production work
