Job Summary

The CNC Operator is responsible for producing high-precision machined parts by setting up operating and monitoring CNC machines. This role ensures that all production meets quality efficiency and safety standards while maintaining accurate records and supporting overall operational success.

Work environments may include manufacturing facilities and production floors requiring a strong focus on precision consistency and accountability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines according to work orders and specifications
    Run tools per specifications and ensure quality standards are met
    Monitor machine performance and adjust settings as needed
    Inspect machined parts using micrometers calipers and other measuring equipment
    Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
    Document production data including tool counts scrap rates and process updates
    Maintain a clean and organized workspace
    Follow all safety quality and operational procedures
    Fulfill additional duties as assigned


Job Qualifications

  • CNC machine operation and setup experience preferred
    Strong understanding of precision measuring tools (micrometers calipers etc.)
    Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
    Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
    Basic computer skills for machine controls and tracking systems
    Strong attention to detail and quality control
    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods
    Strong communication and teamwork skills
    Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment


Experience & Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
    Manufacturing experience required
    Experience with precision machining or CNC equipment preferred
