CNC Mill Machinist 2nd Shift

***This is a 2nd shift position Monday-Thursday four 10-hour shifts. Pays 8% differential. Sign on bonus $3000.***

Duties/Responsibilities of CNC Mill Machinist:

Loads Unloads Starts and Stops Machines.

Sets the feeds and speeds of machines during the machining process.

Watches gauges dials and other key indicators to make sure machines are working

properly and workpieces meet quality standards.

Monitors machines during operation in order to detect dull cutting tools and excessive

vibration.

Measures dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications

using precision measuring instruments templates and fixtures.

Calculates and sets machine movements according to drawing specs.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities of CNC Mill Machinist:

Knowledge of basic hand tools including their uses and maintenance.

Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions.

Ability to control the operations of machining equipment and systems.

Basic mathematics knowledge particularly Trigonometry.

Education and Experience of CNC Mill Machinist:

High School Diploma or equivalent. 0-3 years of experience in relevant field preferred.

5S and Lean Manufacturing training.

Basic Blueprint Reading.

Documentation and Moderns Production System.

Inspection Techniques for Machinists. SPC Charts and Tools. Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Adjusting Boring heads.
