CNC Maintenance Technician II or III

CNC Maintenance Technicians play a critical role in ensuring the continuous operation of our 24/7 manufacturing facility. Responsible for the installation preventive maintenance troubleshooting and repair of a wide range of equipment this role is essential to minimizing downtime and maintaining FunctionsTo accomplish this job an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential work orders specifications blueprints and schematics to determine maintenance tasks and troubleshoot equipment issuesPerforms moderate to advanced troubleshooting repairs and preventive maintenance on CNC machines pumps HVAC cranes forklifts compressors and other facility equipmentMonitors fluid levels and may add/change fluids including coolant to machines; safely transports and stores used coolant for collection by authorized waste vendorSafely and efficiently operates forklift and other material-handling equipment including scissor lifts or other powered industrial lifts; may operate overhead or jib cranes; certification must be obtained upon hire and maintained throughout employmentMaintain accurate records in ERP and work order systems; manage parts and supply inventory as neededKeep work areas clean and organized; return tools and equipment to proper storage after useFollows all safety policies and procedures; consistently utilizes all required personal protective equipment (PPE); attends and participates actively in safety training; may participate in safety committeeCommunicates verbally (English) and follows verbal and written instructionsLevel II and III may provide training to level I techniciansPerforms other tasks and/or assignments as requiredRegular on-site attendance at the workplace is requiredThis role is identified as requiring ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance; therefore qualified candidates must meet the definition of a U.S. Person (per EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15):An individual who is granted U.S. citizenship orAn individual who is granted U.S. permanent residence (i.e. a Green Card holder) orAn individual who is granted status as a protected personRequired Education and Work ExperienceA high school diploma or GED equivalent is requiredVocational training or apprenticeship in industrial maintenance is requiredExperience requirements vary based on position posted salary range reflects a broad range inclusive level I II and III I -A minimum of two (2) years experience in a similar maintenance role to include repair of CNC machining centers is required ; Vocational training or apprenticeship in industrial maintenance is preferredLevel II -A minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar maintenance role to include repair of CNC machining centers is required; Vocational training or apprenticeship in industrial maintenance is requiredLevel III -A minimum of five (5) years experience in a similar maintenance role to include repair of CNC machining centers is required; Vocational training or apprenticeship in industrial maintenance is required; a Journeyman Electrician License is preferredExperience troubleshooting and performing repairs on Okuma Makino Toyoda and Fadal machines is preferred; OEM Certification is preferredOther Required Skills and AbilitiesValid Drivers license and acceptable safe driving record to meet insurance requirementsMechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of electrical pneumatic and hydraulic systems and troubleshootingProficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP or CMMS/Work Order system experience is preferredStrong multitasking time management and adaptabilityPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentTo perform the essential functions of the role employees must be able to perform the following activities with or without reasonable accommodations:Frequently walk stand sit for extended periods bend climb kneel and lift/push/pull up to 50 hands and fingers to operate tools install hardware and work on computers or control is performed in a manufacturing warehouse environment where working conditions may vary significantly; the employee will be exposed to:Moderate to high noise levels (hearing protection may be required).Dust smoke fumes and vapors (PPE such as masks or respirators may be needed).Extreme hot or cold temperatures (occasionally).Sharp tools cutting equipment and hazardous systems high-voltage equipment and moving mechanical parts.
