CNC Maintenance Technician I

Maintenance Technicians are responsible for all aspects of equipment maintenance at the facility including installation preventive maintenance troubleshooting and repair. Technicians perform work on electrical hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and systems including CNC machines and machining centers and may perform work on forklifts and lifting devices or troubleshoot automotive issues as needed. This is a key position tasked with minimizing equipment downtime to support a 24x7 manufacturing operation. Maintenance techs will work assigned shifts and may be in a periodic rotation for on call emergencies that occur during alternate FunctionsTo accomplish this job an individual must be able to perform each essential function. safely transports and stores used coolant for collection by authorized waste vendorPerforms scheduled preventive maintenance on production and facility equipmentSafely and efficiently operate forklift and other material-handling equipment including scissor lifts or other powered industrial lifts; may operate overhead or jib cranesMay inventory and requisition parts equipment and supplies; may drive a motor vehicle to obtain items not in inventoryRecords data in ERP CMMS and/or other electronic storageUses cleaners solvents abrasives power and hand tools adhesives lubricants and other solutions to clean and repair equipmentMaintains a clean safe and orderly work area; returns tools and equipment to appropriate storage areas when not in useFollows all safety policies and procedures; consistently utilizes all required personal protective equipment (PPE); attends and participates actively in safety training; may participate in safety committee activitiesCommunicates verbally (English) and follows verbal and written instructionsPerforms other tasks and/or assignments as requiredRegular on-site attendance at the workplace is required; relevant apprenticeship or vocational training in industrial maintenance machine shop manufacturing technology or similar program may be considered in lieu of or in combination with paid work experienceOther Required Skills and AbilitiesA valid Drivers license and an acceptable safe driving record to meet insurance requirementsForklift experience is preferred;
