CNC MachinistProgrammer III
Job Summary
CNC Machinist/Programmer III to join our growing manufacturing team. This senior-level position is responsible for programming setting up operating and optimizing CNC machining centers while producing high-precision components that meet demanding quality standards. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong programming skills extensive setup experience and the ability to troubleshoot complex machining issues while mentoring less experienced machinists.
- Create modify and optimize CNC programs using CAM software and machine controls.
- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes with minimal supervision.
- Read and interpret blueprints GD&T engineering drawings and CAD models.
- Select tooling workholding cutting parameters and machining strategies.
- Perform first article inspections and verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring equipment.
- Troubleshoot machining tooling programming and quality issues to maximize efficiency.
- Optimize cycle times while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Recommend process improvements that reduce cost and improve throughput.
- Perform machine offsets tool changes and preventive maintenance.
- Work closely with Engineering and Quality to resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Train and mentor junior machinists and setup personnel.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation.
- Follow all company safety policies and quality procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical or vocational machining education preferred.
- 7 years of CNC machining and programming experience.
- Strong experience with CNC mills and/or CNC lathes.
- Proficient with G-code programming and CAM software (Mastercam Fusion 360 GibbsCAM Esprit or similar).
- Experience with Fanuc Haas Okuma Mazak Mitsubishi or similar controls.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
- Experience machining tight tolerance precision components.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
