CNC Machinist Wire EDM Programmer Operator – Knoxville, TN

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with strong Wire EDM experience to join our manufacturing team in Knoxville TN. This position is ideal for a highly skilled machinist who can work independently with minimal training and contribute immediately to production operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up operating and programming CNC equipment to manufacture high-precision components while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

• Set up and operate CNC mills lathes and Wire EDM machines.
• Program edit and troubleshoot G-Code programs at machine controls.
• Select install and align tooling fixtures and workpieces.
• Read and interpret blueprints engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
• Perform first-piece in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
• Complete production documentation and quality records accurately.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a safe organized and efficient work environment.

• Minimum 4 years of CNC machining experience.
• Hands-on experience with Wire EDM machinery.
• Strong experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
• Proficiency in programming and editing G-Code.
• Experience working with Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T drawings.
• Strong shop math and trigonometry skills.
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers calipers and gauges.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience with Makino CNC or Wire EDM machines.
• Experience using EDM software such as Mastercam Esprit or similar platforms.
• Experience machining ceramic materials.
• Background in precision manufacturing environments.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand walk bend and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
