CNC Machinist Programmer

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist / Programmer for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established manufacturing company in Portland OR. This position is ideal for an experienced machinist with strong setup experience advanced G-code knowledge and the ability to improve machining processes and tooling strategies.

This is a day shift position working four 10-hour shifts Monday-Thursday.

$32-$40/hr DOE
Monday-Thursday 5:30am-4:00pm
Direct Hire

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with the following:
CNC horizontal mill setup and operation
FANUC controls preferred
Advanced G-code editing and troubleshooting
Program prove-outs and process optimization
Creating stable setups and improving run efficiency
Blueprint reading and machine shop math
Speeds feeds tooling selection and fixture setup
Precision inspection and quality verification
Identifying and correcting machining issues proactively
Process improvement in a production machining environment

Responsibilities:
Setup and operate CNC machining equipment
Prove out and troubleshoot new or existing programs
Edit and optimize programs at the machine
Analyze tooling setups and machining processes for improvement opportunities
Verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring tools
Maintain quality standards and monitor machining performance
Assist in improving setup consistency and machining efficiency
Perform preventative maintenance and maintain clean safe work areas

Qualifications:
Strong CNC machining background required
Advanced setup and troubleshooting experience required
Strong understanding of G & M code
Horizontal machining center experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints independently
Strong understanding of tooling offsets and machining strategies
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
