Together with CCI Fredericks is positioned for long-term growth innovation and continued excellencePosition SummaryThe CNC Machinist Mill is responsible for setting up operating and maintaining CNC milling machines to produce precision components in accordance with engineering drawings specifications and quality standards. This role requires strong attention to detail sound machining knowledge and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a manufacturing ResponsibilitiesSet up operate and monitor CNC milling machines (vertical and/or horizontal) to manufacture parts to specificationRead and interpret engineering drawings blueprints GD&T and work instructionsLoad programs make offset adjustments and perform tool changes as requiredPerform first-off inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments (e.g. calipers micrometers indicators)Identify and troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling materials programs or machine operationMake minor program edits at the machine (as required and authorized)Maintain a clean organized and safe work area in accordance with company safety policiesDocument production results inspections and any non-conformancesCommunicate effectively with supervisors programmers and quality personnel regarding production issues or improvementsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives related to quality efficiency and safetyComply with all company policies procedures and applicable health and safety regulationsQualifications & SkillsRequired:High school diploma or equivalentCompletion of a machinist apprenticeship or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum 2 years of experience operating CNC milling machinesStrong ability to interpret technical drawings and specificationsProficient use of precision measuring toolsSolid understanding of machining processes tooling and materialsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityPreferred:Journeyperson Machinist certification or Red Seal (where applicable)Experience with specific controls such as Fanuc Haas SiemensoptionalExperience with tight tolerances and complex partsFamiliarity with basic CNC programming concepts (G-code)Physical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasksAbility to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodationManual dexterity and good hand-eye coordinationExposure to machining environments including noise metal chips coolants and lubricantsHealth & SafetyThe CNC Machinist Mill is expected to work in compliance with all occupational health and safety requirements including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work Fredericks Manufacturing LLC has an industry competitive extended health and benefits plan & pays 100% of Medical and Dental premiums for employees.
