General Machine Company of NJ or GEMCO is a fourth-generation family-owned manufacturing company in Middlesex New Jersey specializing in high-quality industrial blenders and dryers.
Overview:
GEMCO is hiring a full-time CNC Machinist to operate manual lathes and CNC machines to fabricate precision industrial components. Were seeking someone who takes pride in their work and values craftsmanship safety and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Operate manual lathes mills grinders and CNC machines to fabricate parts.
- Read technical drawings blueprints and work instructions.
- Measure and inspect parts to ensure accuracy and tolerances.
- Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed maintain temperature and identify issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance on machines.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams.
- Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
Requirements:
- High school diploma GED
- Completion of vocational training or apprenticeship a plus.
- 15 years of CNC machining experience manual machining preferred.
- Experience in using and/or programming manual semi-automated or automated tools and machines.
- Ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements.
- Ability to read blueprints schematics and manuals.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and live in commuting distance to Middlesex New Jersey.
