Job Summary:

The Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating conventional and CNC machining equipment to manufacture precision metal and non-metal components according to engineering drawings specifications and quality standards. This position plays a critical role in producing high-quality parts while maintaining safety efficiency and accuracy throughout the manufacturing process.

  • CNC Mills
  • CNC Lathes
  • Precision Measuring Instruments and Inspection Equipment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review blueprints sketches drawings and work instructions to determine machining requirements and part specifications.
  • Set up and operate conventional and CNC machines to manufacture parts according to specifications.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling fixtures and materials for production runs.
  • Adjust machine controls speeds feeds and cutting depths to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Conduct test runs and troubleshoot machining issues to ensure proper machine performance.
  • Replace and install machine components and verify proper operation following maintenance or repairs.
  • Collaborate with engineers programmers supervisors and production personnel to resolve manufacturing challenges and improve processes.
  • Maintain a safe clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all quality standards related to our Quality Management System (QMS) ISO requirements and safety procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education/Training:

  • GED or High School diploma
  • Previous CNC machining manual machining manufacturing technical training or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers micrometers and gauges preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude attention to detail and commitment to quality.
