Field Service Engineer / CNC Service Technician

Location: Grand Rapids Michigan
Base Salary: $80000 - $110000
Employment Type: Full-Time

A leading supplier of high-precision CNC machine tools supporting the metal cutting industry and advanced manufacturing environments is seeking a Field Service Engineer / CNC Service Technician to support customers across West Michigan.

We are seeking candidates who are experienced servicing CNC machines machine tools and 5-axis machining centers.

Field Service Engineer / CNC Service Technician Responsibilities:

• Travel throughout Western Michigan to set up service and optimize a variety of CNC machine tools including both 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers.
• Manage on-site service activities by performing installations preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure maximum machine uptime.
• Investigate technical issues using detailed analysis implement corrective actions and communicate solutions and recommendations to the team.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to enhance machine performance reduce recurring problems and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Field Service Engineer / CNC Service Technician Requirements:

• Degree in an engineering discipline or machine tool technology is advantageous; however we also welcome applications from candidates with relevant hands-on experience.
• Prior experience as a Field Service Engineer working with machine tools 5-axis machining centers or similar CNC equipment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of different CNC control systems such as Fanuc or Siemens.
• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel across Western Michigan to support customers.
